Beaverton High School's Theater department is the oldest and best in the state.

Since 1902, our stage has never gone dark!

Welcome to Beaverton High Drama! We are a largely student run organization headed by our wonderful director, Shannon Dery. Our program offers numerous opportunities for student leadership, expression, acting, tech, and creativity to roam and grow uninhibited. Whether you be in the audience or behind the stage, we have a place for everyone.

How We Run

We have meetings every Thursday from 3pm until about 3:30. They are headed by our Thespian Council and our director Shannon Dery in room 174 (the Studio Theatre). Meetings are posted on Facebook and are typically concentrated in a few subjects to go over. Meetings start with games, and then we circle up and start giving information. We host questions at the end.

There is also a section of the website which has all of the notes from the meetings. Notes may be vague (because they are notes), so if you missed anything or are curious to see what happened, just let us know!

We communicate largely through text and Facebook, so if you are a part of our program, you will sign up for our text alerts and we will include you into our official Facebook Group. We also release information through our Instagram and Twitter, all of which you can click in the footer to direct you directly to our social media outlets.

How To Get Involved

Show up at a meeting! Meetings are open to anyone who wants to show up and get involved. If you don't get casted for a show, try crew! Crew is generally open any time as long as you organize with the director and the stage manager that you would like to be involved. You have to fill out a crew form, and we highly recommend you attend the meetings as well.

If you are alumni, we welcome you to participate in our meetings. Send us an e-mail and we can get you involved in our Facebook group open to alumni and let you know how you can help out! We love help with costuming and there are plenty of opportunities to feed hungry teenagers if you have nothing to do with your night. There are also opportunities during shows to come backstage or help out in the box office. Let us know!
